Versha Sharma has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2007 with an internship at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. During their time there they researched, wrote and edited pamphlets and reports for publication, as well as updated, edited, and designed parts of the FAO website. In 2008, they worked as a Field Organizer for both Obama for America and Jim Martin for Senate. In 2009, they worked as a Media Assistant for Francisco Moya for City Council and as an Associate Publisher, Manager of Ad Operations and Sales Support, News Writer, and Front Page Editor for TPM Media LLC. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Reporter/Producer for Vocativ and a Contributor/Writer for Lean Forward at msnbc.com. Finally, in 2021, they became the Editor In Chief of Teen Vogue.
Versha Sharma began their educational journey in 2004 when they enrolled at Centenary College of Louisiana, where they earned a B.A. in Political Science, History, and Communications in 2008. In 2006, they took a semester abroad at the American University of Rome, studying Classical History and Political Science.
