Charlie Kemp possesses extensive experience in leading creative and cultural initiatives within various organizations. Currently serving as Head of Creative Place at Tees Valley Combined Authority since November 2020, Charlie directs efforts to enhance the creative and visitor economies through policy and strategy development. Previously, in roles such as Creative Director and Director of Business Development at OpenPlan, and Director of Business Development at Globe Consultants International, Charlie focused on placemaking and business growth strategies. Earlier career highlights include positions in audience development at Lincolnshire One Venues and outreach program development at Lincoln Drill Hall. Charlie holds a Master of Arts in International Cultural Policy, Relations & Diplomacy from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Hull.
