Michael Valentine

Michael Valentine currently serves as the VP/Station Manager at WUSA9 under TEGNA, a position held since January 2013. Previously, Michael held roles as VP/News at Belo and Vice President/Content from January 2012 to December 2013. From 2005 to 2012, Michael was the Executive News Director at WFAA-TV, where oversight included the news division of a major ABC station in the fifth largest market in the country. Earlier experience includes serving as Executive News Director at WVEC-TV from 2002 to 2005 and News Director at WEHT-TV from 1996 to 2002. Michael holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Vermont.
