Su-Hui Chu has held a variety of roles in the design and creative industry since 2009. Su-Hui began their career as Creative Director at Ella Peru Clothing, where they designed, launched and produced 5 seasonal collections, and acquired and distributed to 18 boutique accounts across Canada, the United States, Australia, and France within the first year of business. Su-Hui also managed local and international apparel production and global distribution. In 2012, they worked as Colour and Trend Manager at Walmart Canada, where they managed trend resources for all apparel departments and worked with all teams on building colour palettes. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at Insight Design & Communications Inc. as a Graphic Designer, working with clients such as Cafe Santo Domingo, Sescolite Lighting and JP Catering on their social media marketing. Su-Hui then moved to Ottawa Festival Network as a Graphic Designer, where they used a master theme to produce and create all city-wide, on-site and online signage, ad campaigns, tickets, invitations, leaflets, and 80-page program book. In 2016, Su-Hui Chu worked as a UI Designer at Pythian, where they conducted user research, applied user data to create user and buyer personas, produced user journeys and buyer journeys, and produced site maps, wireframes, and prototypes. Finally, they have been working as an Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer, and Visual Brand Designer at Tehama since 2017, where they have generated creative ideas and design solutions that address product or business goals, understood marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience, produced mockups, storyboards, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes to visualize goals, conceptualized, ideated and planned content, strategies and potential angles, collaborated with technical engineers, copywriters and SEO to develop campaigns, reviewed cycles with directors/stakeholders to ensure the goals and quality of the campaign, created and formatted all visual elements for campaigns across social, email, interactive, video, print, focusing on typography, layout, imagery, iconography, and brand consistency, developed and refined Tehama's visual brand identity and delivered visual systems and impactful design solutions that strengthen Tehama's brand across Enterprise, Corporate, Internal, and Event marketing, collaborated cross-functionally to ensure superior quality, cohesion, and impact of creative solutions across all marketing touchpoints, managed multiple projects of varying complexities at once, met deadlines, worked independently, maintained the appearance of the website by enforcing content standards, managed external agencies for testing and improving the website, established design guidelines, standards, and best practices, and communicated design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.

Su-Hui Chu's education history includes a Diploma in Fashion Design from the Richard Robinson Academy of Fashion Design from 2005 to 2008, and Fashion/Apparel Design courses from Vancouver Community College (VCC) from 2008 to 2010 and 2009 to 2010. Additionally, Chu has obtained various certifications from Lynda.com from 2015 to 2016, including certificates in Graphic Design, UX Design Techniques, Logo Design Techniques, Photoshop for Designers, and Foundations of Branding for Designers.
