Nico Rieger

Nico Rieger has been working in the cybersecurity industry since 2000. Starting their career as an Auszubildender Elektroniker für Betriebstechnik at VEW AG/RWE AG, they then moved to RWE AG as a Technischer Mitarbeiter in 2004. In 2008, they became the Leiter Serviceabteilung at Elektro Lanfermann, and in 2010 they joined Erwin Peters Systemtechnik GmbH as Stellvertretender Vertriebsleiter, Gruppenleiter Vertriebsinnendienst, and Vertriebsinnendienst. In 2020, they became Abteilungsleiter IT/OT Security Consulting and IT/OT Security Consultant at Das Simulatorzentrum KSG|GfS, and in 2022 they joined TEHTRIS as a Cybersecurity Senior Sales.

Nico Rieger has a varied educational background. Nico completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Automatisierungstechnik from Fachhochschule Südwestfalen in 2008-2013. Before that, they completed an Elektrotechniker degree from Robert-Bosch Berufskolleg Dortmund in 2004-2008. In 2021, they completed two courses from bitkom akademie: IT-Sicherheitsbeauftragter / Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) nach ISO27001 & BSI GS and Zusätzliche Prüfverfahrens-Kompetenz §8a (3) BSIG - IT-Sicherheitsaudits bei KRITIS-Betreibern, both in the field of IT-Sicherheit. Finally, in 2022, they completed an ISMS Auditor/Lead Auditor nach ISO/IEC 27001 (IRCA) course from isits International School of IT Security AG, also in the field of IT-Sicherheit.
