Jose Rivera

Jose Rivera, MPA, currently serves as the Executive Director of Harris County Street Olympics and Strategic Partnerships and External Affairs Manager for Harris County Precinct One Commissioner Rodney Ellis since June 2022. With extensive experience in community engagement, Jose was the Executive Director of Community Impact at the YMCA of Greater Houston from August 2019 to June 2022, overseeing outreach initiatives citywide. Prior roles include the Assistant Director of Senior Engagement at BakerRipley and Community Liaison for US Congressman Gene Green, where engagement with civic groups and coordination of community events were key responsibilities. Jose also founded Boricua Soul Entertainment in 2010, providing DJ and event planning services. Educational qualifications include an Executive Master's of Public Administration from Texas Southern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Houston.
