Ecommerce & Omnichannel / Direct To Consumer Director - Americas Region at Tekmovil

Cristian Serrano has extensive experience in eCommerce and omnichannel roles. Cristian is currently working as the eCommerce & Omnichannel (DTC) Regional Director at Tekmovil, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to that, they served as the eCommerce General Manager - Americas Region at Tekmovil from March 2020 to June 2022. In this role, they were responsible for marketplaces, logistics, supply chain, customer experience, customer service, e-commerce, marketing, online merchandising, online payments, omnichannel, P&L, strategic planning, UX, and UI. Cristian was involved in planning, development, and launch of the eCommerce business unit and platform.

Before joining Tekmovil, Cristian worked as the Founder of El Checkout, a position they held from January 2019 onwards. During this time, they also served as an Advisory Board Member at Aserrín Aserrán from January 2017 onwards.

Cristian has also worked at other notable organizations. Cristian served as the eCommerce Marketplaces DTC LATAM Head at Under Armour from February 2019 to March 2020, where they were involved in planning, development, and launch of the marketplaces project for Latin America. Cristian also worked as the eCommerce Country Manager Mexico at Under Armour from January 2018 to January 2019, where they focused on enhancing the user experience on the underarmour.com platform.

Prior to Under Armour, Cristian worked as the eCommerce Summit & Expo (ECSE) Director and Founder at Reed Exhibitions from October 2016 to December 2017. Cristian was responsible for conceptualizing and planning the eCommerce Summit & Expo event, as well as launching the eCommerce platform for ticket sales and the matchmaking/networking mobile app.

Before Reed Exhibitions, Cristian held various roles at Grupo Julio, Grupo Martí, E.LIFE Group, and Ymmarsa Pharmaceutica, S.A. de C.V. These roles involved digital transformation, eCommerce management, merchandising, strategic planning, marketing, communications, and business development.

Cristian also has experience as a keynote speaker, conducting talks and workshops on various topics related to marketplaces, eCommerce, and digital transformation.

Cristian Serrano has obtained a diverse education history. In 1999, they completed their secondary education at Queen Elizabeth School. Cristian then attended CUAM / Preparatoria Abierta SEP from 2002 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades. From 2006 to 2008, Cristian studied Marketing and Advertising at Centro Universitario de Comunicación. In 2014, they attended Tecnológico de Monterrey's EGADE Business School for a short duration, focusing on E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce. In 2016, they obtained a Diplomado in E-Commerce/Electronic Commerce from eCommerce Advertisers Bureau.

Additionally, Cristian has acquired various certifications in different areas. Cristian completed a 2022 Retail Education Certificate from Shoptalk and a 2019 Retail Education Certificate from the same institution. Cristian has also received certifications in Analítica Web and Big Data & Web Analytics from EOI Escuela de Organización Industrial, as well as certifications in Digital Marketing, eCommerce, IMS Certification on Spotify, IMS Certification on Twitter, IMS Certification on TWITCH, and Marketing Digital. The institutions where they obtained these certifications include Google, IMS Internet Media Services, and IAB Spain.
