Gustavo Bencid has a vast and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Gustavo began their career at Citi, where they worked as a Manager in Corporate Accounts from 1990 to 1992. Gustavo then joined CellStar as a Sales Director, where they played a key role in establishing the company as the largest telecommunications distributor in Latin America.

Afterwards, Bencid joined Philips as the General Manager and Board of Directors member for Venezuela, Caribbean, and Central America. Gustavo successfully grew the business to over $50 million and achieved significant market share growth.

In 1999, Bencid joined Motorola, Inc. as the Executive Director for Latin America Key Accounts. Gustavo directed all regional mobile device sales and marketing activities, generating $300 million in annual revenues. Bencid also played a pivotal role in designing innovative strategies that changed the market's rules of engagement.

Bencid continued their career at Motorola Solutions, first as the Vice President of Motorola Sales & Services for Government and Commercial Markets. Gustavo then took on the role of Vice President of Enterprise Mobility Solution Sales and Services. In these roles, Bencid defined and executed regional sales and marketing strategies, managed large teams, and exceeded revenue targets by implementing cross-selling strategies.

Subsequently, Bencid joined Brightstar as the Vice President/General Manager for Enterprise & Govt. Services and Open Source. Gustavo was responsible for creating and managing the partner ecosystem across 20 countries in Latin America, leading to significant revenue growth.

Bencid joined Samsung Electronics America as the Head of Open Market Sales, where they led and managed open market sales, B2B business, Samsung direct stores, and distribution partners in the Caribbean region. Gustavo also created a new channel program to drive business growth.

At Nuance Communications, Bencid worked as a Senior Director, contributing their expertise in sales and management.

Currently, Bencid holds the position of Global VP Sales Emerging & Open Market at Tekmovil. Gustavo leads the global market penetration strategy and is responsible for driving top line revenue, GM, EBITDA, and customer acquisition through multiple channels. Additionally, Bencid has full P&L responsibility for over $500 million in revenue.

Throughout their career, Bencid has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and an ability to drive revenue growth. Gustavo has extensive experience in managing large teams, creating and implementing sales and marketing strategies, and exceeding revenue targets.
