Robert Plummer

Robert Plummer has extensive work experience in the design and technology field. Robert is currently working as the Director of Design Technology at Applied Software since 2019. In this role, they lead business planning efforts and identifies industry trends for value-based consulting services.

Prior to that, Robert worked at Gensler from 2004 to 2018. Robert held the positions of Senior Associate, Director of Design Technology and Practice, and Digital Design Manager. Robert managed Gensler's global design technology platform, consolidated and streamlined design technology portfolio, and saved over $1 million annually by optimizing delivery.

Before their time at Gensler, Robert worked at Autodesk, Inc. as a Revit Specialist, promoting the adoption and integration of Revit software. Robert also worked at Revit Technology Corporation as a Technical Sales Account Manager, where they demonstrated, promoted, and implemented Revit software for customers.

Robert's early career includes roles at CUH2A, Inc. as a Staff Architect and Niles Bolton Associates as an Architectural Intern and Associate Director of IT. Robert also gained valuable experience during a preceptorship at the office of world-renowned architect Mario Botta.

Robert Plummer completed their education at Rice University from 1989 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Architecture / Art History. Robert also participated in a study abroad program at DIS for the academic year 1991-1992. Prior to attending Rice University, Plummer attended Hattiesburg High School from 1986 to 1989. Additionally, Plummer has obtained certifications including Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from Scrum Alliance in August 2019 and various Agile Product Owner Role certifications from LinkedIn.
