Dave Taschner

Dave Taschner has worked in the IT field since 1983. Dave began as an Unload Flow Controller/IE at UPS in 1983. In 1984, they became a Communications Specialist for the Missouri Air National Guard. From 2000-2005, Dave worked as a Senior Systems Consultant for Siemens, where they were responsible for network and information systems infrastructure design and implementation. From 2005-2018, Dave worked as a Systems Engineer/Engineering Manager for BAE Systems, where they were responsible for systems design, installation and management on Windows, Solaris and LINUX systems. In 2018, Dave began working as a Cyber Security Specialist/Systems Engineer for FlightSafety International, where they were responsible for developing cloud and enterprise search capabilities within the organization, as well as exploring data distribution through cloud technologies for cost reduction and efficiency. In 2019, Dave began working as a DEV OPS Engineer for teKnoluxion Consulting.

Dave Taschner completed a Bachelor of Arts in Information Systems from Lindenwood University in 2008. Dave then obtained the (ISC)2 Security CISSP (ISC2-CISSP) certification from (ISC)2 in April 2008. From 2010 to 2012, they earned a MSIT-IA in Information Assurance from Capella University. From 2012 to 2015, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Information Technology from Capella University. Most recently, in 2019, they completed a C# programming course at Saint Louis Community College.
