Ashkan Tavakoli Naeini

Ashkan Tavakoli Naeini, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of manufacturing science and technology. Ashkan is currently serving as the Director of Manufacturing Science & Technology at Teknova, where they lead the New Product Introduction team, the Process Engineering team, and the Formulation and Feasibility Assessment team. Prior to this, they worked at STEMCELL Technologies as a Senior Process Development Scientist, where they led the New Product Introduction team, the Continuous Process Improvement group, and the Non-conformance Investigation group. Before that, they gained research and laboratory experience at Biomaterials and Cartilage Laboratory and Valeo Pharma, the Biochemical and Bioenvironmental Eng. Research Center, and Sharif University of Technology. Ashkan started their career as an intern at the R&D and Mechanical Analysis Lab at Peyman Sanat Rubber Industries Co. Overall, Ashkan Tavakoli Naeini has extensive experience in process optimization, technology transfer, and research in the field of manufacturing science and technology.

Ashkan Tavakoli Naeini, PhD, received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Polymer Science from Isfahan University of Technology in 2006. Ashkan then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Chemical Engineering-Biotechnology from Sharif University of Technology from 2006 to 2009. Later, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal between 2011 and 2017.
