Peter Nowak

Vice-president Insight & Engagement at TekSavvy

Peter Nowak has extensive work experience in various roles within the media industry. Peter started their career in 1997 as a reporter for Computer Dealer News and then worked as an editor and reporter for The Globe and Mail from 1998 to 2004. From 2005 to 2006, they served as a technology reporter and editor for the New Zealand Herald. Peter then joined the National Post, Inc. in 2006 as a technology reporter and went on to become a senior science and technology reporter at CBC from 2007 to 2010.

In 2008, Peter became an author for Penguin Random House until 2014, during which they published several works. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as an author for Goose Lane Editions, focusing on the impact of technology on humanity. Additionally, they worked as a freelance writer for various media outlets from 2010 to 2020, including publications such as The Globe and Mail, National Post, CBC, and Reader's Digest. Peter also contributed as a radio analyst and columnist for CBC Radio.

In 2018, Peter became a book author for Douglas & McIntyre, publishing the non-fiction book "The Rise of Real-Life Superheroes and the Fall of Everything Else" in 2020. Most recently, Peter joined TekSavvy Solutions Inc. in 2020 as the Vice-President of Insight & Engagement. In this role, they are responsible for gauging and responding to public sentiment, advocating for consumers, and leading special projects to influence policy makers in favor of pro-competitive outcomes. These projects include campaigns, publications, and initiatives promoting affordable internet access.

Peter Nowak attended Ryerson University from 1993 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Journalism degree with a specialization in Journalism.
