Rhodes Davis is the Contract Manager and Facility Security Officer (FSO) for Teksouth Corporation. In this position, he serves as a hub between executives, sales, operations, accounting, customers, prime contractors, and subcontractors. He has worked in business development, has managed the administrative and accounting functions, and performed administrative project management. Rhodes has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Contract Management and Acquisition.

In the contract management role, Rhodes has signature authority to review and approve award and modifications of Federal contracts, task orders, subcontract awards, and commercial contracts. He also reviews and approves agreements with prime contractors and potential partners. After award, he coordinates the project setup with the accounting and operations departments and maintains the contract documents library.

Additionally, Rhodes performs compliance checking of all contracts and agreements and coordinates compliance tasks with other Teksouth employees. When new government requirements are imposed, such as the Contractor Code of Business Ethics and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), Rhodes will perform the required steps, to include drafting documents or creating policies and procedures or join committees formed to achieve the compliance objectives. Additionally, Rhodes oversees Teksouth’s National Industrial Security Program plan that regulates the corporate clearance for classified federal work.

To maintain Teksouth’s competitive posture, Rhodes maintains the contract vehicles to include GSA schedules and IDIQ contracts including modifications and enhancing the GSA schedule to increase the capabilities Teksouth can offer to the government. This includes studying industries that are potential markets for Teksouth then working with the government and specialized consultants to add new capabilities to their GSA schedule. Additionally, executive management and business development frequently call on Rhodes to do market research and analysis of contract vehicles and new ways to reach potential customers. His role requires him to be a lifelong student to stay abreast of legal, compliance, and business issues related to federal contracting which he is able to share with various departments as needed.

Rhodes received his bachelor’s degree in business in 2018 but has worked for over thirty years in the business side of the information technology industry with companies providing mainframe components, early networking technology, client-server networks, and software development. Because of the diverse background and experience, Rhodes was often invited into Board of Director discussions about marketing and strategy for analysis and insight and, in 2020, was formally appointed to the Board.

Rhodes lives in Hayden, Alabama with his wife Cindie. They have six children.
