Annette McClelland has a diverse work experience. In 2016, they co-founded Tekuma.tech, a company that developed a one-handed controller for drones, robots, and other devices. Previously, they worked full-time for BITE BACK, an online initiative of the Black Dog Institute, from 2013 to 2016. At BITE BACK, they were responsible for producing, editing, and moderating content to increase site usage. In 2013, they worked as an Account Executive at Cultural Perspectives and was a Support Staff member at the University of Technology, Sydney. In 2012, they completed an internship at GolinHarris, and from 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Tutor freelance.
Annette McClelland's education history begins in 2004 when they attended West Island School ESF in Hong Kong. Annette completed their high school education at St Andrew's Cathedral School in Sydney from 2007 to 2009. In 2008, they further pursued their interest in freelance journalism at GEOS College in Sydney. Moving on, Annette completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications (Information & Media) from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) between 2010 and 2012. In 2014, they obtained a Digital Marketing Executive Certificate from UTS as well. Later on, from 2015 to 2017, Annette pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Technology Sydney. Most recently, in 2022, they enrolled in Flinders University to pursue a Diploma in Digital Technologies.
