Yoram Reich is a distinguished academic and professional in engineering design and systems engineering. Serving as the Chair in Engineering Design and Systems Engineering and Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Tel Aviv University since October 1993, Yoram conducts research, manages a research team, and mentors students. In addition, since October 2017, Yoram has led the MSc research program in Systems Engineering and the Tel Aviv University Systems Engineering Research Initiative, focusing on advancing research, education, and industrial support in the field. As the President of the Israel Institute for Empowering Ingenuity since January 2011, Yoram oversees strategic design and innovation across various disciplines. Yoram also contributes to the academic community as Editor in Chief of the journal Research in Engineering Design and has held visiting academic positions at Stanford University and Duke University. Yoram's educational background includes a PhD in Artificial Intelligence in Design from Carnegie Mellon University and an MSc in Optimization from Tel Aviv University.
