John-Paul Romano

John-Paul Romano has extensive work experience in the medical industry. John-Paul started their career in 1997 at Arrow International as a Project Engineer and later worked as an R&D Engineer at CardioClasp. In 2002, they became a Project Engineer at Power Medical Interventions. John-Paul then joined Secant Medical, LLC as a Device Engineer from 2003 to 2005. From 2006 to 2013, they served as the Research and Development Manager at Stout Medical Group. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President - Research and Development at TELA Bio, a role they have held since March 2020. Prior to this, they were the Director - New Technology Development at TELA Bio from 2013 to 2020.

John-Paul Romano holds a Master's degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Finance, General, which they earned from La Salle University in the years 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Virginia from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering (M.S.). Their undergraduate education took place at Penn State University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.).
