Sten-Erik Bergner

Sten-Erik Bergner has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Sten-Erik began their career as a Software Engineer at Ericsson, where they focused on Lisp and Smalltalk programming and created a graphical IDE for Lisp. After that, they worked at Objectory as an Innovator and Lead Engineer, contributing to innovative projects. Sten-Erik then joined Rational Software Corporation as a Rational Rose Architect.

In 1997, Sten-Erik transitioned to iD2 Technologies, where they initially served as a Project Manager before becoming a Software Architect. During their time there, they built cryptographic applications for digital signatures and authentication and led the transition from C++ to Java.

Later, they joined SmartTrust as a Product Manager, where they defined and launched the company's flagship product for publishing and managing electronic identities. Following this, they worked at Bergner Technologies AB as a Solutions Specialist, designing and implementing cloud-based applications for various clients.

Sten-Erik then took on the role of Vice President of Engineering at GroupSwim, leading the engineering team. Subsequently, they joined Salesforce.com as a Principal Member of Technical Staff, where they focused on building high-volume recommendation-oriented features using collaborative filtering and clustering techniques.

Prior to their current role, Sten-Erik was the Director of Engineering at AgilOne, where they built high-volume predictive analysis systems and developed various applications such as Big Data Cleansing on Hadoop and Marketing Campaign applications on Microsoft SQL.

Since 2015, Sten-Erik has been working as the Head of Engineering at Telcred, a start-up company based in Stockholm, Sweden, specializing in physical security and proptech. In their role, they manage a modern cloud service for physical access control in buildings and collaborates with Axis Communications to interact with and manage IP-connected hardware. Telcred serves commercial customers worldwide.

Throughout their career, Sten-Erik has exhibited expertise in various technologies and has played key roles in engineering, management, and leadership positions.

Sten-Erik Bergner's education history begins in 1973 when they enrolled at Norra Real for their high school education. Sten-Erik completed their high school education in 1976. Following this, they pursued higher education at Linköping University from 1976 to 1982, earning a Master of Science degree in Engineering.
