Neil Somerville

Neil Somerville is an experienced operations executive currently serving as Vice President of Global Operations at Teledyne Qioptiq since February 2025, focusing on integration and growth strategies across multiple sites. Previously, Neil was with Excelitas Technologies Corp. from April 2023 to March 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing global operations for the Defence & Aerospace sector and successfully facilitating the sale of Qioptiq to Teledyne. Neil's earlier roles include Senior Director of Operations at Excelitas, Plant Manager at Eaton, and Pyro Plant Manager at Martin-Baker Aircraft Co Ltd. Neil holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Open University, and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
