Benjamin Brownlee is a Research Scientist in the Power & Thermal-fluids Group at Teledyne Scientific & Imaging since December 2019. Prior to this role, Benjamin served as a Research Assistant in the Flux Lab at Brigham Young University from April 2013 to December 2019, where responsibilities included the design and testing of convective microfluidic biosensors, training students on a thermal evaporating system, and collaborating with researchers to enhance sensing technologies. Additionally, Benjamin worked as a Teaching Assistant, instructing graduate-level courses and leading labs in CAD. A Space Scholar Intern at the Air Force Research Laboratory in mid-2018, Benjamin held a secret security clearance and contributed to the optimization and testing of electrochemical resistive switches. Benjamin completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University in 2020, having previously earned a Bachelor of Science in the same field in 2015.
