Javier Sáez Tovar

Javier Sáez Tovar's work experience includes serving as Chief Legal Counsel at Telefónica Tech since 2020, specializing in Big Data, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, security, privacy, and architecture and infrastructure services. Javier was also Chief Legal Counsel at Telefónica Digital España, S.L.U., LUCA (Telefónica's Data Unit) from 2018 to 2020, overseeing legal affairs related to consumer and big data. Additionally, they were the Chief Legal Counsel & Privacy Security at Synergic Partners, S.L.U. (a Telefónica Group company) from 2016 to 2018, responsible for legal and privacy aspects of the company's services and infrastructure. Javier has also worked at ENATIC Abogacía Digital, HELAS, Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo Abogados, Arroyo Rechtsanwaltskanzlei, Agencia de Protección de Datos de la Comunidad de Madrid, and Iserpro, where they gained experience in various legal fields such as new technologies, digital law, data protection, and telecommunications.

Javier Sáez Tovar obtained a double Bachelor's degree in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, completing their studies from 2005 to 2012. Javier then pursued a Master's degree in Business and Telecommunications Law, Big Data, New Technologies, and Audiovisuals at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid from 2014 to 2015. In 2013, they attended the BFZ. München, where they earned a Master's in Vocational Integration and Qualification from the Bavarian Professional Training Center. Most recently, in 2021, Javier completed a Master's in Data Protection, Security, and Architectures in IoT, Big Data, AI, ML, and Deep Learning from the Asociación Española para la Calidad.
