Marco Cartolano

Marco Cartolano is a seasoned journalist with experience in various reporting roles and research positions. Currently serving as a city hall reporter for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette since December 2020, Marco covers breaking news, development updates, and local elections in New England's second-largest city. Additionally, Marco has contributed to the Citations Needed Podcast as a newsletter writer and researcher since February 2019. Previous experience includes reporting for Hearst and an editorial internship at In These Times, where Marco extended the internship to seven months and contributed original articles and fact-checking. Marco's journalism background is complemented by active involvement in audio production and radio broadcasting during studies at Northwestern University, where Marco earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Political Science.
