Robert Chimalizeni

Robert Chimalizeni has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Robert began their career at UNDP/ILO Project for Malawi Council for the Handicapped in 1989, where they worked as a Counter Part to UNDP/ILO Expert and Data Processing Officer until 1991. Robert then joined Mike Appel and Gatto in 1992, where they held the positions of Information Technology Controller and later Information Technology Manager until 2008. In 2010, they joined Malawi Telecommunications Ltd as a Business Systems Expert and stayed with the company until 2014. Robert then moved on to Malawi Telecommunications Limited in 2014 as a Database Architect until 2016. Robert'smost recent role was with Telekom Networks Malawi Limited, where they held the positions of Senior Databases Administrator from 2016 to 2017, and currently works as the Database and Linux OS Manager.

Robert Chimalizeni has a comprehensive education history in the field of informatics and business information systems. Robert began their educational journey in 2000, obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management with a focus on finance and accounting from ACCA. In 2007, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems at the University of Malawi - The Polytechnic, which they completed in 2009.

Seeking further specialization, Robert enrolled in the University of Malawi - Chancellor College in 2014, where they pursued a Master's degree in Informatics, which they completed in 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Robert has obtained several certifications in various areas of expertise. Robert obtained the Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g Certified Implementation Specialist certification from Oracle in November 2018.
