Bart De Vleeschauwer has a diverse work experience spanning various positions and industries. Bart started their career as a Phd. Student and then went on to work as a Postdoc Researcher at Ghent University from 2003 to 2009. Bart then joined Alcatel-Lucent as a Senior Research Engineer and later held roles as a Multimedia Solution Architect and Director Multimedia Delivery Research. In 2014, Bart joined Telenet as Manager, TV Engineering Architecture, Strategy & Innovation, where they were responsible for the technology strategy of the Telenet video platform. Bart also worked as a Corporate Strategy Manager at Telenet, executing strategic projects and assessments covering a broad range of strategic topics. Bart briefly worked as an Executive Partner at Gartner before rejoining Telenet as the Director Product & Technology Strategy, where they currently hold the position. Overall, Bart has a strong background in research, strategy, and technology, with experience in both academia and industry.
Bart De Vleeschauwer has a strong educational background in computer science and innovation. Bart obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Ghent University between 2003 and 2008, after completing a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution between 1998 and 2003. In 2012 and 2013, they pursued an Executive Master Class in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Vlerick Business School. Additionally, they hold various certifications, including courses on AI, unmanned aircraft systems, data science, and executive education.
