Tom Dedecker

Tom Dedecker has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tom started their career at AXA as a Scenarios writer before moving on to work at various companies in different roles such as Front-end webdesigner at Evisor, Webdesigner/Projectmanager/Usability design at tmp.adcomms, and User Experience/Information Architect at Duval Guillaume. Tom then joined Kunstmaan as a User Experience/Webaccount, where they handled tasks like information design, graphical design, software development, and quality control. After this, Tom worked as a Digital Manager at BIVV-IBSR, where they initiated the digital transformation of their website. Currently, Tom is employed at Telenet as a User Experience Lead.

Tom Dedecker holds a Master's degree in Communication Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, which they obtained between the years 1991 and 1996. In 1996, they pursued an additional year of study as a vrije student in Internationale betrekkingen at KU Leuven. In 2006, Tom completed a post-academic program in Usabilitydesign at KU Leuven. Tom has also obtained certifications in User Onboarding 101 from Product Adoption Academy (expected year of completion 2023), Contentsquare (completed in May 2023), and UX Writing from UXWRITINGHUB (expected year of completion 2022).
