Alexey Gavrilov has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Alexey started their career in 1997 as a Software Engineer at the Information Computing Center of North West Russia Railway, where they designed and developed components for the "WebCli" information system. Alexey then joined Sun Microsystems in 2004 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and implementing frameworks and libraries for Java Platform versions 6 and 7. At Verdande Technology, they served as a Lead Software Architect, overseeing the design, development, and testing of the Edge Platform software stack. Alexey also mentored colleagues and served as the build master and release manager. Alexey co-founded Drive Constructor in 2015, a hobby project aimed at supporting professors teaching power conversion system design. Alexey has also worked as an Open Source Developer and a Tech Lead at Telenor Digital. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Telenor Linx.
Alexey Gavrilov completed their education at Baltic State Technical University from 1993 to 1999. Alexey obtained a Specialist / Engineer degree in Systems of Automation during this period. In addition to their degree, Alexey also obtained several certifications from Sun Microsystems. These include the Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJD) certification, the Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) certification, and the Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD) certification.
