Kjetil Rognsvåg

Kjetil Rognsvåg has extensive work experience, primarily in the field of data protection and privacy. Kjetil currently works at Telenor Linx as a Data Protection Officer, a role they began in November 2022. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at Telenor, where they held various positions related to data protection and privacy. From January 2021 to November 2022, they served as a Data Protection Officer. Before that, they were the Director - Group Privacy from September 2019 to January 2021. From August 2017 to September 2019, they held the role of Data Protection Officer/Privacy Ombudsman and was Vice President Privacy Norway, responsible for Telenor Norge AS and its subsidiaries' data protection. Kjetil also served as the Director - Group Privacy from September 2014 to August 2017. Prior to this, they held the positions of Group Privacy Officer from March 2010 to September 2014 and Chief Privacy Officer from October 2004 to March 2010, where they oversaw privacy and data protection compliance for Telenor's Nordic companies. Kjetil also had earlier roles as an Information Architect from January 2002 to September 2004 and a Dialogue Systems Manager from December 1997 to December 2001.

Before joining Telenor, Kjetil worked at Ericsson AS as an Industrialization Responsible from May 1993 to November 1997, and as a System Developer from February 1990 to April 1993. Prior to that, they had a role as a Sales Consultant at KDB-Senteret from June 1989 to December 1989.

Kjetil Rognsvåg obtained a BSC degree in Electronics from the University of South-Eastern Norway, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. In addition to their degree, they have also earned certifications in Microsoft 365 Essential Training from LinkedIn in November 2019 and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from The International Association of Privacy Professionals in August 2018.
