Maia Okropiridze has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Maia is currently working as a Roaming Business Manager at Telenor Linx since 2019.
Prior to that, Maia worked at Orange Jordan from 2013 to 2019. During their tenure, they held the role of Roaming Director from July 2015 to August 2019. In this position, they were responsible for strategy development and business planning of roaming business, wholesale, and retail. Maia also managed global roaming profit and loss (P&L), developed new revenue streams, and handled commercial negotiations related to roaming wholesale business. Before joining Orange Jordan, Maia worked at Orange as an International Roaming Project Manager from October 2010 to February 2013. In this role, they managed wholesale and retail roaming projects and played a key role in defining the strategy of the roaming domain. Maia also managed global roaming P&L, identified new revenue streams, and supervised commercial deals.
Prior to their time at Orange, Maia worked at VimpelCom (Beeline Georgia) as an International Roaming Coordinator from February 2007 to September 2010. Maia started their career at United Telecom of Georgia in 1999, where they worked as the Chief Manager of PSTN switch from June 1999 to January 2007. In this role, they were responsible for managing the installation, administration, and maintenance of the digital switch and supervised a team of over 20 employees.
Maia Okropiridze obtained a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Georgian Technical University, graduating in 1998. Maia then pursued a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the same university, completing their studies in 2001.
