Andrew Whiteside

Andrew Whiteside has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Andrew currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Telepathy Labs since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Technical Director at Biqmind from March 2018 to August 2021. Before joining Biqmind, Andrew took a break from professional work and engaged in activities like fishing, diving, and backpacking from April 2017 to February 2018. Andrew has also worked as a Technical Team Lead at Group IMD from March 2015 to March 2017 and as a Senior Software Engineer at Tigerspike from June 2012 to February 2015. Andrew started their career as a Principal Consultant at Whiteside Consulting from January 2009 to June 2012 and as an Applications Developer at Expand Business Systems from November 2005 to December 2008.

Andrew Whiteside earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Information Technology from Curtin University, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. In addition to their undergraduate degree, Andrew has obtained several certifications. In 2007, they became a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in .Net Framework 2.0, Windows Applications and also gained Microsoft Business Solutions Specialist (MBSS) certification in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Applications. In 2012, they obtained the certification of MS: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 Specialist from Microsoft. In 2014, they became a Professional Scrum Master I certified by Scrum.org. Andrew further expanded their knowledge and skills by obtaining the certification of AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in 2017. More recently, in 2020, Andrew achieved two certifications from Microsoft: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
