Francois Blouin

Francois Blouin has extensive experience in software engineering and technical applications, currently serving as the Director of Technical Applications at Telesat since August 2020, and previously held the position of Manager of Software Engineering. Prior to Telesat, Francois Blouin spent nearly a decade at Ciena as a Senior Manager where responsibilities included managing a team of up to 18 members to architect and develop software applications for multi-layer networks. Earlier career experiences include roles such as Software Developer at Nortel Networks and Bell Northern Research, and Project Manager and Researcher at Nortel Networks, showcasing expertise in optical networks and software development across various platforms. Francois Blouin holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Université Laval.
