Ken van Sweeden

Ken van Sweeden is an accomplished insurance professional with extensive experience in liability solutions and risk management. As the Managing Director at Liability Matters (Pty) Limited since November 2019, Ken leads the delivery of specialist liability solutions in collaboration with Strategic Insurance Systems. In the role of General Manager - Liability - Business Insurance at Telesure Group Services since October 2016, Ken oversees revenue and cost management of the liability book, including Specialty Risks. Previous roles include Head of Liability at Aquarius Underwriting Managers (Pty) Ltd, where Ken was responsible for sales and development of liability products, and Director - Underwriting at Camargue Underwriting Managers (Pty) Ltd, which Ken co-founded. Ken's educational background includes a degree in Cyber Crime Investigation from College SA and the AIISA designation from the Insurance Institute of South Africa.
