Anya Jones

Honorary Research Associate at Telethon Kids Institute

Anya Jones, PhD has an extensive work experience in the field of research. Anya started their career as a Research Assistant at Telethon Kids Institute in 2011. During their time there, they worked on various projects related to allergies to dust mites and the link to asthma, as well as diffuse midline gliomas (DMG), a rare childhood brain cancer. Anya then transitioned to the role of Postdoctoral Researcher, where they furthered their research in these areas. In 2020, Anya became a Computational Biologist at the institute, bridging the gap between immunology and bioinformatics. Anya'swork involves studying allergies and asthma, as well as DMG. Additionally, Anya also had a brief Traineeship at the European Commission in 2008.

Anya Jones, PhD, completed their education in various institutions over the years. Anya obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Systems Immunology from The University of Western Australia in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology with Spanish from the University of Sussex in 2007. Anya'seducational journey also includes the completion of a European Baccalaureate from the European School II in Belgium in 2003. Lastly, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Forensic Science from the University of Amsterdam in 2009.
