Hayley Passmore

Honorary Research Associate at Telethon Kids Institute

Hayley Passmore has a diverse work experience in the field of criminology and research. Hayley is currently working as a Lecturer in Criminology at The University of Western Australia since 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at the Telethon Kids Institute from 2015 to 2022. During their time there, they held various positions including Honorary Research Associate, Project Lead & Senior Research Officer for Reframe Training, and Research Assistant and PhD Student. Their research focused on the workforce development component of the NHMRC feasibility study on fetal alcohol spectrum disorder in the justice system. Before joining the Telethon Kids Institute, Hayley worked at YMCA WA from 2011 to 2015 as a Project Officer and Support Worker. Hayley facilitated and managed programs for residents of Boronia Pre-release Centre for Women and gained experience in managing family support programs. Hayley's work experience demonstrates their expertise in criminology research and a passion for working with people involved in the justice system.

Hayley Passmore completed their education at two institutions. From 2010 to 2014, they attended Murdoch University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) and a Bachelor of Criminology. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Paediatrics and Child Health at The University of Western Australia from 2015 to 2019.
