Jacob Stewart-Olsen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jacob is currently working at the Telethon Kids Institute since 2018, where they have held multiple finance roles, including Research Finance Manager. Prior to that, they worked at POOPs (Pets of Older Persons WA, Inc) as a Treasurer starting in 2021. Jacob was also employed at EY as a Senior Associate in Assurance from 2017 to 2018 and as an Accountant in Assurance from 2015 to 2017. Before joining EY, Jacob worked at Bankwest as a Bank Teller from 2011 to 2015. Jacob gained experience in accounting and finance as an intern at the Australian Wildlife Conservancy in 2015 and as an intern in Assurance at EY in 2014. In their early career, Jacob worked as a Sales Associate at Optus in 2011 and as a Customer Service Assistant at Coles from 2007 to 2011.

Jacob Stewart-Olsen pursued their education in a variety of fields. In 2005, they attended La Salle College for high school, where they focused on subjects such as Accounting, Drama, English, Human Biology, and Mathematics. After completing their high school education in 2009, they went on to attend Sønderborg Statskole in 2010 and 2011, focusing on Social Sciences & Danish. Following this, they enrolled at The University of Notre Dame Australia in 2011, where they pursued a Double Bachelor of Commerce and Arts, with a major in Accounting and Social Justice. Jacob completed this degree in 2015. From 2015 to 2018, Jacob attended Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accountancy. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a Tier 2 Financial Services Reform Act Certification from Kaplan Financial in November 2011.
