Community Involvement Coordinator at Telethon Kids Institute

Jacqui Hume has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jacqui currently works as a Community Involvement Coordinator at the Telethon Kids Institute since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Access and Outreach Manager at the West Australian Ballet from January 2020 to August 2022.

Jacqui was also a Freelance Contemporary Dance Artist, Performer, and Teacher under their own company, Jacqui Claus, from 2006 to 2021. During this time, they worked on various dance projects and conducted teaching engagements.

Their previous roles include Front of House Manager and Ticketing Officer at the Perth Festival from January 2012 to March 2020, Sessional Lecturer at Edith Cowan University from February 2016 to February 2020, Ticketing Officer and Arts Administration at the Black Swan State Theatre Company of WA from September 2018 to October 2019, and Studio Owner and Manager at the Pilates School of WA from January 2014 to May 2018.

Additionally, Jacqui served as a Peer Assessor at the Department of Culture and the Arts from 2013 to 2016, contributing their expertise in assessing projects related to culture and the arts.

Jacqui Hume began their education journey in 2003 at Edith Cowan University where they pursued an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts with a focus on Dance. Jacqui attended this institution until 2005. In 2009, Jacqui continued their education at Curtin University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General. Jacqui completed their studies at Curtin University in 2015. Additionally, in January 2022, Jacqui obtained certification in Youth Mental Health First Aid from Mental Health First Aid Australia.
