Kinley Tenzin has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting roles. From 2022 to the present, Kinley has been working with the Telethon Kids Institute as part of the Finance Operation Team. Prior to this, Kinley served as a Finance Officer at the Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development (DPIRD) from May 2022 to October 2022, where they handled various financial accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
In 2020, Kinley worked as an Account Officer at the Directorate of Service, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests in Bhutan. In this role, Kinley prepared monthly management accounting and financial reports, advised on income tax returns, facilitated accounts payable/receivable and payroll processes, and performed cash reconciliation for different departments and program offices.
Prior to that, Kinley gained experience as a Project Management Account Officer at the Commercial Agriculture & Resilient Livelihood Enhance Project (CARLEP) Office, IFAD, United Nations from 2015 to 2018. They were responsible for maintaining and monitoring project accounting systems, providing financial support to project stakeholders, preparing financial reports, forecasting cash flow, and facilitating audits.
Kinley's earlier experience includes working as an Assistant Finance Officer at the Trashiyangtse and Haa Local District Government Administration from 2012 to 2015.
Overall, Kinley has shown proficiency in financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and stakeholder engagement throughout their career in various organizations.
Kinley Tenzin completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Finance at Gaeddu College of Business Studies, Royal University of Bhutan from 2006 to 2010. In 2011, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma of Financial Management from the Royal Institute of Management. From 2018 to 2020, Kinley pursued a Master of Professional Accounting from Edith Cowan University, specializing in Accounting. In 2021, Kinley began an enrollment for an Associate membership to CPA Australia, still focusing on Accounting.
In terms of additional certifications, Kinley obtained various qualifications related to accounting and finance. Kinley received a XERO Advisor Certificate for Accountants from Xero in April 2022, a Certified QuickBooks Online Advisor for Accountants qualification from Intuit QuickBooks Training by Real World Training in March 2022, and a Reckon One Certification for Accountants from Reckon.ai, also in March 2022. Kinley also acquired a VLookUp and Pivot Table Excel Certification from Great Learning in January 2022 and a Modernizing Chart of Accounts Certification from the International Monetary Fund in May 2021.
Additionally, Kinley became a Student Member of the Institute of Public Accountants in September 2020 and a University Student Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Australia in June 2020. Prior to that, in April 2017, they obtained a Project Lifecycle Management Certified Implementation Specialist certification from PSI Solutions. Kinley also holds a Certification on Government Accounting from the National Institute of Information Technology, earned in February 2014.
