Community Engagement Coordinator at Telethon Kids Institute

Liam Bedford has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Liam currently holds the position of Community Engagement Coordinator at the Telethon Kids Institute, a role they started in January 2021. Prior to that, Liam worked as a Community Engagement Officer for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union from 2018 to 2020. Liam also gained experience as a Petroleum Technician at Priority Fuel Management from 2016 to 2017 and as an HD Fitter at Thiess from 2014 to 2015. Liam began their career as an Apprentice Mechanic at Leighton Mining Services from 2012 to 2013 and at HWE Mining Pty Limited from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, they have professional athlete experience, having played for the Westcoast Eagles Football Club from 2008 to 2009 and for the Geelong Cats from 2006 to 2008.

Liam Bedford completed a Cert III Leadership Development degree at Challenger TAFE WA in 2013. In 2008, they also obtained a Cert III Personal Training degree with a focus on Sports and Exercise from Victoria University.
