Nicola Ball has a diverse work experience in the field of research and medicine. In 2017, Nicola worked as a Research Scholar at the Black Dog Institute. In 2020, they joined the Department of Health (WA Health) as an Intern/Resident Medical Officer and later became a Public Health Registrar until July 2022. From October 2022 to January 2023, Nicola worked as a Project Support Officer (temporary) at the Health Protection Surveillance Centre. In 2023, Nicola joined Canberra Health Services as a Senior Resident Medical Officer, and later that year, they started working as a Research Fellow at The Australian National University. Additionally, Nicola held the position of Honorary Research Associate at the Telethon Kids Institute since April 2021.
Nicola Ball has a diverse education history in the field of public health. In 2014, they began their studies at UNSW, where they pursued a Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine degree, which they completed in 2019.
In 2022, Nicola attended the University College Dublin, where they completed the Europubhealth+ European Public Health Master program, focusing on public health. Additionally, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Population Health Studies from The University of Western Australia in the same year.
Continuing their education in public health, Nicola joined UNSW again in 2023 to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree.
In terms of additional certifications, Nicola obtained the U21 Global Citizenship certification from Universitas 21 in November 2022.
