Zoë Ellis has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and research field. Zoë currently holds the role of Clinical Laboratory Coordinator (Vaccine Trials Group) at Telethon Kids Institute since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the same institute from March to August 2022.
Before joining Telethon Kids Institute, Zoë worked at Linear Clinical Research Ltd. Zoë served as a Health & Safety Representative from September 2021 to March 2022. During their time at Linear Clinical Research Ltd, they also held two roles as a Laboratory Technician, starting as a Level 1 technician from July to November 2020, then transitioning to a Level 2 technician from November 2020 to March 2022.
Zoë's work experience also includes clinical placements at PATHWEST LABORATORY MEDICINE WA. Zoë had a clinical placement from June 2019 to May 2020 and worked in various roles at different facilities. These roles included working in the Multidisciplinary Laboratory at Manjimup Hospital from January to March 2020, the Department of Immunology at Fiona Stanley Hospital from October to December 2019, and as a Phlebotomy and Specimen Reception staff at Manjimup Hospital from July to September 2019. Zoë also briefly worked in the Department of Quality Assurance and Safety at Fiona Stanley Hospital in July 2019.
Zoë Ellis completed their education at Curtin University from 2017 to 2020, where they obtained a degree in Laboratory Medicine with majors in Immunology, Microbiology, and Haematology.
In addition to their formal education, Zoë has obtained several certifications. In January 2022, they became AIMS Accredited through the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists. Zoë also completed the Mental Health First Aid certification from Mental Health First Aid Australia in the same month.
Zoë obtained the Safety & Health Representative certification from the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, Western Australia in September 2021. Zoë also completed the Safety and Health Representatives Program through the Australian Institute of Management in the same month.
In February 2021, Zoë obtained the IATA Dangerous Goods Certificate from AIRSAFE Transport Training. In August 2020, they obtained the ICH - Good Clinical Practice Certification from The Global Health Network.
Zoë's most recent certification, completed in March 2020, is the COVID-19 Infection Control Training, obtained from the Australian Department of Health.
