Chris Johnson applies broad experience in business, technology and operations management to his role as president and co-CEO.
Through his leadership, collaborations are underway with health systems across four countries—which is helping drive efficient operations and improving patient and caregiver safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, by managing hospital bed capacity and tracking patient progression from admission through discharge—TeleTracking is responsible for the movement of millions of patients each day.
In his previous role as TeleTracking’s Chief Solutions Officer, Chris led the Technology, Product Management, User Experience and IT&S teams, and was responsible for the migration of the current portfolio of solutions to a single cloud-based platform.
Before joining TeleTracking, Chris served as the Chief Technology Officer for GE Healthcare’s asset management, patient flow and hospital operations management platforms. He led the formation of a global team of technology professionals and managed the development, deployment and operationalization of a global, cloud-based platform serving hospitals across the world.
Chris holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from George Mason University. He recently shared his thoughts on the challenges facing healthcare on the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s daily broadcast, Business as Usual and was also named to the Pittsburgh Business Times Power 100, a list of the most influential leaders in Pittsburgh.
