Annelize van Rooyen

Annelize Van Rooyen possesses extensive experience in radiation protection and hazardous waste management, currently serving as General Manager of Radioactive Waste at Tellus Holdings Ltd since July 2019. Previously held positions include Radiological Manager at Radiation Professionals, where consultancy services on radiation safety were provided, and Senior Advisor Radiation at Rio Tinto, focusing on radiation protection and occupational hygiene monitoring. Experience also includes serving as Senior Health Physicist at ANSTO and Engineering Specialist in Radiation Protection at PBMR, where development of radiation protection systems for nuclear projects was undertaken. Annelize also has a strong foundation in nuclear technology, with an ND in Nuclear Technology from Technicon Pretoria and a Matric from Hoërskool Silverton. Early career experience includes roles at Akasia Laerskool and Necsa, contributing to school activities and research reactor management respectively.
