Felipe Vieira

Felipe Vieira has held a variety of roles in the technology and finance industries since 2014. Felipe began their career as an intern at Elekeiroz SA, where they were responsible for daily production reports, maintenance updates, and production control. In 2016, they became an Associate Analyst at Mastercard Advisors, working in the delivery team of consulting services. In 2017, they were hired as a Machine Learning Analyst at Banco PAN, where they used machine learning techniques to create models that had a direct impact on the company's results. In 2018, they were hired as a Senior Machine Learning Analyst (Anti-Fraud) at Banco Santander. In this role, they were responsible for developing new machine learning models, elaborating on business strategies for model implementation, and monitoring model performance over time. Felipe also shared their knowledge of Python and Machine Learning best practices through internal courses. In 2019, they joined BairesDev as a Software Engineer, where they were part of the top 1% IT Talent hired from the company's 145,000 applicants pool. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Telnyx as a Data Engineer, where they are focused on powering developers and businesses to provision and integrate tier-1 voice, messaging, data, and other forms of real-time communication into their applications and to securely deliver that communication globally.

Felipe Vieira holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, which they obtained between 2010 and 2016. Felipe also participated in an Exchange Programme (Science Without Borders) at the University of Groningen between 2013 and 2014, where they studied Chemical Engineering. In April 2020, they obtained the Lightbend Akka for Scala Professional - Level 1 certification from Lightbend, Inc. Additionally, they hold certifications in Data Analysis Tools, Data Management and Visualization, Machine Learning for Data Analysis, and Regression Modeling in Practice from Wesleyan University.
