James Taylor is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in procurement, supply chain management, and product engineering. Currently serving as the General Manager (Principal) for Vendor Management & Negotiation Center of Excellence at Telstra since January 2015, James Taylor leads strategic initiatives related to third-party performance, carbon emissions, and vendor management. Prior to this role, James held various positions within Telstra, including Chapter Lead for Procurement and Senior Fleet Engineering Specialist, where notable achievements included enhancing procurement capabilities and managing a fleet transition to an outsourced model. James’s earlier tenure at General Motors Holden involved significant contributions as a Senior Product Engineer and Project Engineer, focusing on thermal management systems and stakeholder engagement. Academically, James Taylor holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University.
