Peter Lam

Peter Lam is the current Principal, CEO, and Board Member at Temasek Polytechnic. Peter has extensive experience in leading and developing educational institutions in Singapore. From 2001 to 2008, they worked as the Deputy Director at IDA Singapore. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the development of information technology infrastructure projects. From 2008 to 2010, they served as the Director of Projects and Planning at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. In this role, they oversaw the planning and execution of construction projects. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as the Deputy Director of University Policy at the Ministry of Education. In this role, they were responsible for developing policies to support the growth of public universities in Singapore. Peter also helped to establish the Singapore University of Technology and Design and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. From 2013 to 2016, they served as the Deputy Principal at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. In this role, they led strategic planning for the school, oversaw research and innovation development, and drove overseas partnerships. Peter was also appointed as the Registrar, where they oversaw academic services such as admissions and examinations.

Peter Lam completed a Masters in Business Administration at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Masters (1st class) in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London.
