Benedict Busunzu

Benedict Busunzu is an accomplished executive currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Tembo Nickel Corporation since August 2021, where strong collaborations with the Tanzanian government aim to develop the Kabanga Nickel project. Previously, Benedict held the position of General Manager for Bulyanhulu and Buzwagi Mines at Barrick Gold Corporation from November 2017 to August 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Commercial Manager and Financial Controller at Acacia Mining plc, Financial Analyst, and Senior Accountant at African Barrick Gold, as well as Management Accountant at Barrick Gold Corporation. Benedict's career began as an Accountant during a work experience placement at the London Borough of Merton. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Mzumbe University, earned between 2000 and 2003.
