Alyssa Macaluso is an experienced educator and marine conservationist currently serving as a STEM Teacher and Technology Teacher & Integrator at Temple Beth Am since November 2020. Prior to this role, Alyssa worked with the Coral Restoration Foundation from September 2018 to September 2019 in various capacities, including Restoration Program Intern and Coral Conservation and Reef Restoration Lead Intern, where responsibilities included developing curriculum, managing field excursions, leading dive boats, and organizing educational outreach events. Alyssa also had a brief tenure as a Green Fins Assessor with The Reef-World Foundation in 2017, promoting sustainable diving standards. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Florida, a Bachelor of Science in Marine, Freshwater, and Environmental Biology from Ohio University, and a study abroad program focused on Tropical Marine Ecology and Conservation.
