Director Of Lifelong Learning at Temple Beth Am

Tamara Donnenfeld has a diverse work experience in the field of Jewish education and programming. Tamara served as the Director of Lifelong Learning at Temple Beth Am, where they were responsible for the planning and execution of Jewish education for over 300 students. Tamara successfully implemented Teen Fellowships focused on social justice, increasing teen participation significantly. Prior to this role, they worked as an Educator for Miami Leo Martin March of the Living, leading trips to Poland and Israel for 11th and 12th grade students, adults, and Holocaust survivors. Additionally, they served as the Principal and Program Director at Temple Beth Sholom, overseeing formal Jewish education for 175 students and coordinating a team for a teen informal education program. Tamara also worked as an Education Programs Developer at JDC, where they developed web-based Jewish educational programs and published work on educational platforms.

Tamara Donnenfeld has a diverse education history spanning different fields and degrees. In 2013, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Hebrew and Judaic Studies from Mijlelet Shazar in Argentina. In the same year, they also obtained a Reform Jewish Educator Certification from the Association of Reform Jewish Educators. Tamara further pursued their education at the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion, where they obtained an Executive Masters in Jewish Education, although the exact years of attendance are unknown. Tamara then attended the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership, earning a Master's degree in Jewish/Judaic Studies from 2018 to 2020. In 2023, they obtained a Leadership Certificate with a focus on Combatting Antisemitism from the same institute. Additionally, Tamara holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Analysis/Analyst from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.
