Tom Sossong

Tom Sossong is an accomplished legal professional specializing in intellectual property transactions and patent law. Currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Temple Health – Temple University Health System since October 2025, Tom Sossong advises on and negotiates complex agreements that enhance the institution's research and technology transfer initiatives. Previously, Tom Sossong held senior legal roles at Universal Display Corporation, where responsibilities included negotiating critical licenses and managing patent filings. Earlier experience includes positions as Patent Counsel at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and as an attorney at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, where Tom Sossong provided extensive support in the life sciences sector. Educationally, Tom Sossong earned a JD from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law, a PhD in Biochemistry from Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine, and a BA in Biochemistry from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
