Dawna Aleman has a diverse work experience in the field of payroll and finance. Dawna began their career as an AP/Payroll Manager at Cedar Crest Hospital & Residential Treatment Center in 1999, where they processed payroll and accounts payable using various electronic systems. Dawna then worked at Jarrell Independent School District as an HR/Payroll Specialist, managing the payroll and human resource department and maintaining personnel and payroll records. Since 2008, Dawna has been with Temple ISD, first as a Payroll Supervisor, where they oversaw all payroll operations, developed payroll policies, and implemented system conversions. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Budget and Compliance at Temple ISD, where they perform and manages budget activities, ensures compliance with laws and regulations, and provides financial services leadership to the school district.
Dawna Aleman has a strong education background in the field of Human Resources Management and Services. Dawna obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources Management and Services from Texas A&M University–Central Texas in 2024. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in the same field at the same institution from 2015 to 2019. In 2014, Dawna acquired an associate degree in General Studies from Temple College.
