Temple Sholom
Mara Teich is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at Iona Family Therapy Center since June 2023, providing therapy services to individuals, couples, and families while also creating assessments and treatment plans. Additionally, Mara has been a Second Grade Teacher at Temple Sholom Learning Center since September 2022, managing a classroom and facilitating lesson plans. Previous experience includes another internship at Triangle Community Center, focusing on gender-affirming therapy, and a role as Head Counselor at Long Ridge Day Camp, overseeing the wellbeing of middle-school campers. Educationally, Mara is pursuing a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling at Iona University, building on a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Binghamton University.

Temple Sholom
Temple Sholom is a warm and inclusive multi-generational congregation that welcomes families and individuals from both Westchester and Fairfield Counties. We offer a one-of-a-kind early childhood experience at the Temple Sholom Selma Maisel Nursery School, and an interactive approach to religious education for grades Pre-K through 7th grade at the Temple Sholom Learning Center. We provide a variety of adult education programming in the form of guest speakers, classes and study groups, in addition to social action volunteer opportunities that benefit the larger community.
