Paul McGowan

Paul McGowan currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Tempo since January 2024, after holding a similar position at hummingbot.io from September 2020 to January 2024, where Paul also worked as a Backend Engineer developing the Hummingbot crypto trading bot. Prior to these roles, Paul was the Chief Information Officer at Envirosax Pty Ltd, leading IT for an eco-friendly bag company from July 2011 to September 2020. Earlier career highlights include being an IT Consultant at Solution Set and a Technical Director at both e-shop and Solution Set Ltd (UK), with a focus on Microsoft technologies and software development. Paul also gained experience as a Contract Software Developer at various organizations, including Centre-file at National Westminster Bank and Fujitsu Australia Limited, and started as an Analyst/Programmer at Midland Montagu, specializing in financial systems. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh.
